Pressings.

From the simple to the complex.

Whatever your needs, Westley Engineering has the know-how and capability to deliver. Whether you require complex or simple pressed components, high or low volumes, single or multi-stage presswork, Westley Engineering offers all the advantages of a truly one-stop service.

This capability is reflected in our new, purpose-built factory which includes a press shop with a pressing capacity of up to 300 tonnes.

Many years’ experience as a press tool manufacturer means we are experts in pressing components accurately and efficiently. As well as our ability to provide the tooling needed for a component, we can also employ the customer’s own tooling, utilising our knowledge to gain improved speeds and accuracies. Not only does this reduce the cost of the components, it also extends the service life of the tool and gives greater control of both the component quality and the efficiency of the pressing operation.

We offer a range of additional operations such as drilling, tapping and machining, together with assembly and packaging of components. Added to this, we are often able to locate materials of the required quality, often at a more competitive cost than our customers can. We are also able to source specialist services such as plating or heat treatment and can, if required, include these as part of a fully tailored package.

For each customer, every stage of the production process is carefully planned, from scheduling of materials, work in progress, despatch, spares, stock control and invoicing. This means that we can give accurate answers to our customers’ queries in, quite literally, a matter of seconds – including current work in progress (WIP), despatch dates, stock levels of components and raw materials, as well as historical information about previous jobs.

Our clients come to us from a wide range of industries, including the Automotive, Batteries, Air Conditioning, Window Hardware and Electronics industries. We are also fully accredited to the AS 9100 quality standard and so welcome enquiries from the Aerospace and related industries.
