ROLLING RELIABILITY

With the current rolling stock having to be refurbished,  it presents an opportunity to replace components with modern light materials. Westley Engineering are keen to champion  the use of lightweight alloys to reduce the weight of rolling stock, which in turn reduces CO2 emissions. 

We have the opportunity to assist and advise rail customers with their modernisation aims using our knowledge of lightweight pressings.

Their combination of strength & durability makes them well suited to the demands and rigours of public transport.

We are also a recognised Tier 1 direct supplier for a variety of equipment for track side service and safety - such as producing the safety boxes which carry rail-safe detonators giving vital advance warning to track workers faced with approaching danger.
